Gypsy Trailer

We heard about some folks using a vintage Airstream for a coffee shop in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It’s rumored they are active in their community and also support a local fresh farm produce market at their location on occasion. A little online digging and we are now friends with them on Facebook. We love what you guys are doing! Keep up the good work

I met a gentleman in St. Petersburg today… just by chance, I saw his beautiful restoration project gleeming in the bright Florida sun! On a day that was close to 100 degrees outside, a true visionary, craftsman and enthusiast was hard at work. Rebuilding his 1950 Airstream (13 panel) treasure from the floor up, I was impressed to see he had completely taken the mirror polished skin off and was laying down a new subfloor… the correct way! I certainly hope he checks out our website and posts a few photos. I can tell our loyal readers that you won’t be disappointed with this rebuild project at all. << I may actually have to sneak over and take a few candid shots while in progress >>
Keep up the good work my friend. It’s nice to know there are more kindred spirits here in beautiful St. Petersburg.
Have you ever noticed how nice a campground looks at night? Next time you are there, take a walk around after dark and enjoy the soft, mellow lights shining from your fellow camper’s trailers and tents, the glow of a campfire and the brightness of the stars in the sky.

A group of residence in Tampa are attempting to have this attraction removed! They have proposed a county ordinance to avoid this type of ’nuisance’ in the future. CampyClassics supports the Airstream Ranch, owned by Frank Bates, who owns Bates RV in Tampa. We think it adds another unique destiny that will attract people from all over the world!
